One thing that can be a little frustrating with cream cheese fruit dip is that so many of the recipes have marshmallow fluff in them. This post is all about how to make an easy and delicious Twix cream cheese fruit dip recipe.
Ingredients for this Twix Cream Cheese Fruit Dip Recipe
- Cream cheese- Cream cheese makes up the base of the fruit dip. It helps the dip to come together better if the cream cheese isn’t straight out of the fridge when you try to beat it. I recommend leaving it out a few minutes beforehand.
- Caramel sauce- I love to make my own caramel sauce, so this recipe includes directions for making your own homemade caramel sauce. It’s super easy, so you definitely don’t have to be intimidated. However, if you really don’t have time, you can use a storebought caramel sauce as a replacement.
- White sugar- This is the base ingredient for making caramel.
- Butter- This helps to make the caramel sauce extra smooth.
- Heavy cream- This is what really makes the caramel into a sauce. It’s important to use room-temperature heavy cream. If you use chilled heavy cream, slightly scary things will happen. For your own safety, just don’t use cold heavy cream.
- Vanilla- Vanilla adds a hint of flavor to the caramel sauce.
- Salt- Salted caramel is probably one of my favorite things in the world. It makes caramel 50,000 times better.
- Brown Sugar- This makes the fruit dip just a bit sweeter.
- Twix- You could theoretically make the dip without the chopped pieces of Twix, but that would be less fun. In my opinion, Twix is a very highly underrated candy bar.
How to Make this Twix Cream Cheese Fruit Dip Recipe
Step 1
Start by making the homemade caramel sauce. Put the white sugar in a saucepan, and turn the heat on a low setting. Let the sugar start to melt. It will go through several different stages in the process, and it will take a while. Stir the sugar occasionally. Don’t be freaked out when it starts to turn into clumps. This is a normal part of the process, and it will start to melt again. Just watch that the heat isn’t so high that it starts to burn.
Step 2
Once the sugar has completely melted, incorporate the butter. Once it’s incorporated, stir in the heavy cream. Now that it has the texture of a sauce, add in the vanilla and salt. Let it simmer on low heat just a couple minutes longer. It should have that beautiful caramel color at this point. Turn off the heat, and let it cool.
Step 3
Put the cream cheese into a mixing bowl. Beat it with a mixer for just a bit until the cream cheese has become more fluffy. Next, add the cooled caramel sauce into the cream cheese and beat them together. After that, add the brown sugar to the mixture and mix it in just until it’s incorporated.
Step 4
Last, but definitely not least, stir in the chopped-up pieces of Twix. Refrigerate the dip for about an hour before serving. Top the dip with more pieces of Twix and serve it with apples slices, grapes, bananas, or whatever fruit you prefer.

What is Fruit dip made of?

You can easily store fruit dip in an airtight container in the fridge. I haven’t tried freezing the dip, but I don’t think it’s the best idea. Usually freezing cream cheese can cause the texture to change.

I highly recommend making your own caramel sauce. The process is actually quite simple, and the flavor is a lot better than what you can find with most bought caramel sauce. However, if you really don’t have the time, you can definitely use pre-made caramel sauce.
