This cheesecake fluff is a delicious dessert that is light and easy to eat. This dessert recipe will save you the next time you’re looking for a quick, impressive dessert to feed your guests!
One of my favorite things is to host people for a good meal, a good talk, and maybe even a good time. There are few things in life that feel like more important work to me than helping people feel like they have a place where they belong. However, a lot of times the meaning of it all becomes a little lost on me during the preparation. Maybe you know what I’m talking about 😬. One of the most difficult lessons I’ve had to learn is that I just can’t do it all (even though I really want to). Here’s where this week’s recipe comes in. I’m not sure how many times cheesecake fluff has come in to bring the stress down a notch.
Maybe you’re like me. You try to give the best to your guests, but time and energy just don’t allow it all the time. These no bake cheesecake cups really do let you have the best of both worlds. This dessert takes 10 minutes to put together, and I’ve never heard anyone complain that they’re eating something resembling cheesecake 😆.
Cheesecake Fluff Flavors and Uses
I’ve made a lot of variations of this cheesecake fluff dessert. This one includes lemon and blueberries. It’s the perfect spring or summer dessert! I think the tanginess of the lemon matches perfectly with the sweetness of the blueberries. Also, you can choose to serve it with crushed graham cracker crumbs underneath or as a cheesecake dip. You could even use it on top of pancakes! It’s very versatile.
So, if you’re looking for a quick, no bake dessert with cream cheese, you should definitely try this one out!
This post is all about how to make cheesecake fluff!
Ingredients for Cheesecake Fluff
- Cream cheese- Cream cheese is the main ingredient here. Don’t forget to bring your cream cheese to room temperature! (It will make mixing a lot easier, and it’s not active cooking time, so you can leave it out while you’re doing other things.)
- Heavy whipping cream- Heavy cream gives this dessert its fluff. Otherwise, it’s pretty heavy and definitely doesn’t deserve the name “fluff” 😂. Also, in contrast to the cream cheese, make sure your heavy cream is cold.
- Sugar- I prefer this recipe not to be super sweet so that it feels lighter. However, you can definitely add a little extra sugar if you like sweeter desserts.
- Lemon juice- This adds lemon flavor to the fluff.
- Lemon zest- Lemon zest helps to strengthen the lemon flavor.
- Blueberries- Blueberries are really the star of this recipe. I highly recommend using fresh blueberries, but there’s no reason you couldn’t use frozen blueberries in a pinch.
How to Make Cheesecake Fluff with Lemon and Blueberries
Step 1
Beat the room-temperature cream cheese with a hand mixer. Add in the sugar a little at a time, continuing to beat the mixture.
Step 2
Gradually pour in the heavy whipping cream, beating the mixture until the cream starts to thicken before adding more. Beat the mixture until it is thick and fluffy, with no liquid cream sitting in the cream cheese.
Step 3
Stir in the lemon juice one tablespoon at a time. Then, stir in the lemon zest. Lastly, stir in the blueberries. You can technically serve it right away, but I would recommend leaving it in the fridge for at least half an hour to an hour if you can!
You can pipe the mixture into parfait cups, serve it in little dishes, or use it as a topping or dip!
Questions about Cheesecake Fluff
What is cheesecake mousse made of?
Cheesecake fluff is usually made of cream cheese, heavy cream, sweetener, and flavorings depending on the recipe. There are also variations that use sour cream as well.
Is cheesecake fluff keto?
The only thing in this recipe that wouldn’t work on a keto diet is the sugar. You could definitely change the sweetener to powdered erythritol or possibly stevia.
Can I use frozen blueberries?
You definitely can use frozen blueberries in this cheesecake fluff! It might not look quite as aesthetic, but that’s not always the most important thing 😀.
